About Coastal Giving Tuesday 2026

GivingTuesday is a worldwide movement dedicated to inspiring generosity. Held annually on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving, it invites people everywhere to give back to their communities. What began in 2012 has since evolved into a year-round initiative, mobilizing millions of donors in support of tens of thousands of nonprofits across the globe.

Coastal GivingTuesday is proud to partner with Waccamaw Community Foundation to champion organizations serving Georgetown, Horry, and Williamsburg Counties. This campaign unites local nonprofits in celebrating National GivingTuesday on Tuesday, December 1, 2026, amplifying awareness and driving meaningful support throughout our region.

Thanks to the extraordinary generosity and vision of Waccamaw Community Foundation, participation in Coastal GivingTuesday is entirely free for nonprofits in our three-county area. To ensure each organization is fully invested in the campaign, we ask that every organization to secure a $500 donation pledge prior to joining. The Coastal GivingTuesday team will hold a welcome and newcomer training on August 31st for all participants and will provide ongoing support from registration through the close of the campaign.
